According to TNA general manager Hulk Hogan, Impact Wrestling has reversed their decision to wrestle all X-Division matches under triple threat rules. From this point going forward, the X-Division's default format will be 1-on-1 singles matches.
Dixie Carter and I have heard your feedback. @ImpactWrestling X-Division matches will be one-on-one. Tune in to @SpikeTV Thursday 9/8c HH

With Chris Sabin's recent move to the world championship picture, and stars like Austin Aries, AJ Styles and Samoa Joe permanent fixtures of the main event scene, it's possible TNA has reversed their decision solely based on the fact that they are running out of X-Division talent that tour with them on a regular basis. Bringing in stars like Sonjay Dutt, Petey Williams and others costs the company money per appearance; money they cannot afford currently.
