Thanks to Elvin, who was second row at the WWE show in Sydney. Below is his report sent to us.
-Crowd was packed, first match was Zack Ryder vs Heath Slater. Ryder got a good pop, while Slater got massive heat. It was an okay match, lasting about 10 minutes. The finish came when Zack ryder hit the rough rider on Heath.
Second match was Aksana vs Natalya. Worst match of the night. Aksana came out too boos and Natalya got a great pop. Match was about 7 minutes when the finish came when Natalya trapped Aksana in the sharp shooter.
Third match was Jinder Mahal vs the great Khali. Again, a good pop for the face and good heat for Jinder ( not as good as the heat Slater got ). Kind of boring match, Khali won with a chop to the head. After that, some kids came in the ring and he danced with them and Justin Roberts, pretty funny to watch.
Fourth match was between the Miz and Dean Ambrose in a Sydney street fight. We had the opportunity to choose out of a Sydney street fight and a 2/3 falls match. Match was pretty good, Ambrose got great heat, match lasted about 15-20 mins with Ambrose winning via his finisher. After the match, he tried attacking the Miz but he countered and did his finisher to Ambrose.
Intermission
Fifth match was the match of the night. Curtis Axel vs Antonio Cesaro. Axel played the face and what a great face he was. Cesaro got great heat and was amazing in the ring, he needs a push bad. There was no Heyman, Swagger or Coulter at ringside. This was a great wrestling match, back and forth it went. The match itself was 30 mins and the finish came when Axel hit Cesaro for with the perfect plex a second time after he kicked out the first.
Next was The shield W/ Dean Ambrose vs Kane and Daniel Bryan. As usual there were heaps of Yes chants. This was another great match. Dean Ambrose kept chatting the crowd up and played a great heel. The finish came when Dean Ambrose interfered and hit Kane with a chair thus causing a dq. They were about to do a triple power bomb to him until Bryan saved the day and he and Kane both did a chokeslam each to Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns respectively (Rollins was out of the ring ). They both hugged as DB got on the mic and left.
The last match was John Cena vs Ryback in a Tables match. It was an okay match, basically a carbon copy of the one they had in the three stages of hell match. Funniest part was when Cena's music stopped, a couple of guys including me started a Goldberg chant. Then it spread and Ryback looked at us and came out of the ring to us. It was amazing, he then started yelling Ryback at us and got on the mic and said it. IT was so funny, then john Cena said " Why are you mad at them calling you Goldberg, at least they're not calling you a wanker" Then some small wanker chants started. Cena won (obviously) with an AA on the table. Cena then got on the mic after and said he is so happy to be here, and it has been 10 years since they've been coming here and he'll look forward to seeing us next time.
