Axel comes back with a strike to the back of the head, then he goes for a corner splash but Jericho ducks out of the way and hits a top rope cross body for two. Jericho sets up a Codebreaker but Axel counters with a front slam, then he puts Jericho in a side headlock but Jericho sends him into the corner. Jericho lowers his shoulder but Axel avoids it, and Jericho goes into the ringpost before Axel drops him with a scoop slam. Axel misses an elbow drop from the middle turnbuckles, then Jericho hits some shoulder tackles and an enziguiri for two before chopping him in the corner. Jericho goes for a bulldog but Axel counters with a spinning neckbreaker for two, then he whips into the ropes but Jericho holds on and avoids a dropkick.
Axel hits the mat so Jericho hits a Lionsault for two, then he knees Axel in the face a few times and tries to press slam him, but Axel throws him to the apron. Jericho runs right up to the top turnbuckle but Axel sees him and catches him, then he goes for a Perfect Plex but Jericho counters and goes for Walls of Jericho. Heyman jumps on the apron and distracts Jericho, and he swings at Heyman before Axel tries to hit Jericho from behind. Jericho avoids it and takes Axel down, and puts him in the Walls of Jericho but Axel pulls himself to the ropes and breaks the hold before rolling outside.
Jericho dives on him and throws him into the broadcast table, then Heyman distracts him long enough for Axel to kick him in the head and hit a hangman's facebuster for the win. Ryback comes out after the match as Heyman and Axel leave, and he gets in the ring and kicks a dazed Jericho on the mat. Ryback taunts him and slaps him, then he picks him up and Jericho hits him a few times, but Ryback drops him with a Meathook and Shell Shocked. Ryback goes towards the ropes but turns back around, then he kicks Jericho in the stomach and tells him he'll see him later before he leaves.
