Mickie James tries to apologize to Velvet Sky for her actions last week, and she tries to give Velvet a new Impact Wrestling lottery ticket as a peace offering. Mickie says she felt frozen and didn't know what to do, and Taryn came down and stole her day-saving moment just like their match at Slammiversary. Velvet says she is glad she is apologizing and accepts, but she thinks they both look ready to compete and she asks for her rematch. Mickie backtracks and says she already has a match tonight, then she tells Velvet to heal up and they'll talk later before rushing out of the room.

Jeremy Borash introduces Rampage Jackson to the crowd, and he says he's glad to be there because he's been a wrestling fan for a long time. He starts talking about his memories of wrestling when Kurt Angle cuts them off, and he looks ready to fight and takes the mic from JB. Kurt says if he wants to beat the best he's looking at him, and Rampage might be good in the cage, but this is his world and someday they are going to fight. Kurt ends up shaking his hand but Rampage gets in his face, then they have a brief staredown before Kurt nods and heads backstage.
