Ring of Honor iPPV Results – Injured Wrestler Returns, Paul London in Action & More

ROH Border Wars

May 4, 2013

(1) C&C Wrestle Factory def. ACH & Tadarius Thomas

(2) Roderick Strong def. Mike Bennett. Mike Mondo was scheduled for this match, but was replaced as he suffered an injury during training this week.

(3) BJ Whitmer def. Rhett Titus in an "I Quit" Match.

(4) Jimmy Jacobs & Cliff Compton def. Michael Elgin & Kevin Steen. Jay Lethal was Elgin's partner, but was removed from the match halfway through because of an injury. Kevin Steen made the save for Elgin and was made his tag team partner, only to get caught with a roll-up by Jimmy Jacobs.

(5) Eddie Edwards def. Taiji Ishimori

(6) ROH World TV Championship

Matt Taven (c) def. Mark Briscoe.
The two Hoopla Hotties made out during the match, distracting Briscoe, which led to a defeat by roll-up.

(7) Davey Richards def. Paul London. There was a bit of a failed move by Richards in the match, when he accidentally came down on London's face off the top rope. London looked dazed afterwards, but managed to get back up after a few moments, and attempt the shooting star press; Davey got his knees up and picked up the win.

(8) ROH World Championship

Jay Briscoe (c) def. Adam Cole. Steve Corino came down to the ring after an accidental referee bump, and offered Cole and SCUM shirt. Nigel McGuinness got involved and hit the Tower of London on Corino, and rolled him to the outside as Briscoe caught Cole with the Jay Driller for the win.

-The injured Tamasso Ciampa made his return to ROH tonight, attacking RD Evans and QT Marshall who came down to rant about the tag team champions, ReDRagon.

-Because SCUM won their tag team match over Michael Elgin, Steve Corino is now the new Ring of Honor color commentator for ROH Television.
