The Rock Featured on the Tonight Show; Doesn’t Mention WWE or Being WWE Champion

Mike Killam

The RockDwayne "the Rock" Johnson was a special guest on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno this past Thursday night, to promote the upcoming release of "G.I. Joe: Retaliation". While the WWE Champion did speak on his childhood, even telling a funny story about stealing G.I. Joe action figures as a kid, he never specifically mentioned pro wrestling or promoted WrestleMania, or his match with John Cena.

It is important to note that The Rock may not be responsible for the content of his interview with Leno, as he may have had contractual obligations to promote only his role in the film. Often times guests spots with celebrities are heavily produced, and Dwayne may have not had the ability to speak on his wrestling career.
