Original WWE Royal Rumble Preshow Plans, Why They Changed

Josh Isenberg

The MizF4Wonline.com is reporting that WWE switched their original plans for the WWE Youtube pre-show. Currently, Antonio Cesaro vs. The Miz for the WWE United States Championship will take place, but this was not the first plan. WWE wanted to have a Rumble pre-match that determined a spot for the winner in the actual rumble match, but this was moved to the Royal Rumble Fan Fest. It is believed that not many people would have tuned into the pre-show to watch guys they are not too familiar with.

Instead, they put Miz and Cesaro in that spot and made this rumble pre-match at the Fan Fest as a special treat for those who bought tickets. The Fan Fest is similar to Wrestlemania Axxess, and will take place Saturday. There is no official word on who WWE is deciding on winning, as many are NXT members. Do not be shocked if Bo Dallas or Leo Kruger win the match and get a spot in the Royal Rumble match Sunday night. They have both been on the road with the main roster, and have been expected to come up.
