Br ock LesnarBrock Lesnar – One Step Up

He’s not even back yet, but I’m giving him a step up already. I think he is the scapegoat for WWE and key to getting them out of the Ryback/Punk match they’ve prematurely and mistakenly set up for HIAC.

I’m not hating on the decision to push Ryback, but I do think it’s something Vince wishes he could take back. And Brock could be that mulligan.

Have Lesnar take Ryback out Monday on Raw and throw Vince McMahon in there last minute. This is assuming Vince can go physically, of course. This way, you still have a sellable main event that can actually end with a proper decision.

If this scenario, or something very similar, doesn’t happen, you MUST do a false, screwy finish of some kind. You can not put the title on Ryback yet, but you can’t have him lose either. Even if it’s by interference. And don’t worry about the fans’ feelings in this case — they’ll get over it.

In either case, WWE must try and use Brock Lesnar as their way out of a Punk or Ryback loss. Once that’s complete, you then feed Lesnar to Ryback at Survivor Series. Punk remains your champion, Ryback remains undefeated.

Look out for my “Cashbox” column on Wednesday where I explain more about why I think the undefeated streak should be protected.
