WWE Smackdown Results (8/24) – Dolph Considers Cashing In, Tag Team Turmoil, Orton/ADR To Determine #1 Contender

Bill Pritchard

Santino Marella comes out and says he was the United States champion for over 150 days, but he has felt less American since he lost. He says he let everyone down when he lost, and he says people keep asking him if he and Cobra can be on the same page. Santino brings out Cobra, and he recalls all of the good times they had together, but Cobra screwed up. Santino knows Aksana is beautiful, but he still lost and they need to pick themselves back up. Santino makes a "Meet The Parents" reference, then he quotes Rocky IV and says if they can change, everyone can change.

Antonio Cesaro comes out with Aksana and Cesaro says he's a winner (in five languages), then Antonio says he personifies winning. Santino runs after him on the stage and he blocks a kick by Antonio, but Cobra gets distracted by Aksana standing next to him. Antonio gets up and hits Santino from behind, then he strikes him one more time before raising his title in the air and kissing Aksana.

Primo & Epico (w/ Rosa Mendes) vs R-Truth & Kofi Kingston

Kofi bridges out of a waistlock takedown and he and Epico dropkick each other, then Primo tags in and he stomps Kofi in the corner. Kofi gets beat up a bit before flipping Primo into the turnbuckles, then they both tag out and Truth knocks Epico down with a clothesline. Truth hits a sitout suplex, then Primo breaks up the pin attempt so Kofi jumps in and throws him outside. Kofi gets knocked outside by Epico then he goes for a Backstabber, but Truth holds the ropes and hits a jumping STO for the win.

Winners – R-Truth & Kofi Kingston
