Update: ROH Tag Team Stripped of Title Belts

Last week Wrestlezone reported that Ring of Honor had cut all business ties with former Tag Team Champion Kenny King, after appearing on an episode of TNA Impact Wrestling, and again in an X-Division Championship match at TNA's Destination X pay-per-view.

In similar situations in the past, ROH has allowed the remaining Champion to select a tag team parter in order to continue defending the belts; we can now confirm that they have decided to instead strip both Kenny King and Rhett Titus of the titles completely.

To resolve this issue, Ring of Honor will begin an 8-man Tag Team tournament starting on the August 3rd television tapings in Baltimore, Maryland. So far, three teams have been anounced, and they are the Briscoes,  the Young Bucks, and a team from outside of Ring of Honor, named BLK OUT.

Rhett Titus, Kenny King's former tag team parter, remains an employee of ROH Wrestling, and is expected to compete in the tournament.
