Report: A Major WWE Title Change Was Considered

CM PunkPWInsider.com is reporting that WWE officials seriously considered letting Daniel Bryan win the WWE Championship from CM Punk.

The idea reportedly picked up steam as they got closer to the pay-per-view but obviously in the end, company officials decided to keep the title on CM Punk.

While it isn't any surprise that a title change was considered at one point given the fact that creative entertains many match ideas, it is worth noting that the title change was seriously considered as it indicates WWE is strongly behind Daniel Bryan's current push.
