PWInsider.com is reporting that several WWE sources have informed them Edge's contract with WWE will expire on May 1, 2012.
This would allow for the Hall of Famer to appear for any professional wrestling organization in any capacity. Edge's in-ring career is over due to injury but the contract news is surprising because of his recent induction to WWE's Hall of Fame. The company typically keeps major retires stars under some contract such as Stone Cold Steve Austin and Shawn Michaels.
