Impact Wrestling Results (3/8) – Sting Makes Some Changes, Garret Bischoff Finds A Tag Partner

A man named James Park is shown trying to enter the Impact Zone, then Bully Ray says he gave James Storm a concussion and he won't make it to Nashville. He tells Sting to do the right thing tonight, then he walks away and we see Austin Aries reading an email from Sting informing him that he will defend his title tonight. Aries says that is a bad idea because if he wins tonight, he won't have to defend his title at the pay-per-view, and he is why people buy it. He says Sting made a bad move by making the match, but he is going to show him tonight what Showtime is all about.

Zema Ion vs Austin Aries (c)

Aries punches Zema then puts him in a headlock and dropkicks him when Zema tries to counter with a headscissors. He runs around the ring and taunts the fans, then slides in and gets an elbow drop for two, but Zema comes back with a float over and a corkscrew elbow smash for a near fall. He rolls outside and taunts the fans then slams Aries into the apron, but he goes up top and Aries catches him on the top rope and shoves him outside. Aries misses a axe handle smash so Zema rolls him in and gets a near fall, then Zema goes back up top but he misses a 450 splash. Aries picks him up and hits him then backs him in the corner, but Zema avoids a corner splash and reaches for his spray can. Aries takes it from him and sprays it in his face, but the ref catches him and calls for a disqualification as Aries argues about who brought it in the ring.

Winner (by disqualification) – Zema Ion

James Park is shown approaching Velvet Sky and he introduces himself as Abyss's brother and he asks if she has seen him. He says he has been missing for months but she doesn't know where he is, so he thanks her for her time and leaves. We join Bully Ray in the ring and he says he is the guy he kicked James Storm in the head and scrambled his brain. Bully says he deserves the next title shot, so he wants Sting to come out to the ring and name him the number one contender. (Cont'd…)
