WWE Smackdown Results (2/17) – Orton Pulled From Elimination Chamber, Battle Royal To Determine Final Spot

Daniel Bryan vs Sheamus

Sheamus hits a shoulder block and a clothesline, then he throws Bryan in the corner before he whips him towards the ropes and knocks him back down. Bryan applies a waistlock but Sheamus reverses it into an armbar, then Bryan kicks his way out but Sheamus ties him up in the ropes and chops him. Bryan falls to the floor then gets up and takes his title and tries leaving, but Sheamus runs to the other side of the ring and clotheslines him on the floor. He rolls Bryan in but ends up getting hit with a flying knee, then Sheamus makes it in before the ten count but Bryan kicks him in the chest.

Bryan backs up and dropkicks him out to the apron, then Sheamus punches Bryan a few times but gets his legs sweeped and hit with another dropkick. He gets kicked a few more times but Sheamus punches Bryan a few times and gets up and hits a forearm smash and a powerslam for a two count. Sheamus goes for a backbreaker but Bryan tries to counter with a LeBell Lock, then Sheamus fights that off and goes for the Celtic Cross. Bryan slides out of that and they trade punches for a bit until the ref tries to break them up, but Bryan continues to taunt him. He spits in Sheamus' face and dares him to hit him again, then Sheamus beats the hell out of him until the ref calls for the bell, and Bryan crawls away while Sheamus stares him down from the ring.

Winner (by disqualification) – Daniel Bryan

Cody Rhodes and Wade Barrett go to Teddy Long's office and ask him who is getting Randy Orton's spot in the Elimination Chamber, and Teddy says he doesn't know yet. He tells them anyone there is going to have a chance and he means that includes anyone from RAW, Smackdown, Superstars and NXT. Cody scoffs at the decision and says Teddy can't allow a nobody in the match, but Teddy says he can because they are having a Wild Card Battle Royal for the last spot tonight.
