New York Indy Wrestlers To Receive Impact Wrestling Tryouts

Impact WrestlingThe Poughkeepsie Journal is reporting that two New York independent wrestlers, Rob Begley and Dale Chapman, will be receiving tryout matches this Friday night prior to a TNA Impact Wrestling house show event in Poughkeepsie, NY. Below is an excerpt from the report:

Begley, better known to wrestling fans as Vik Dalishus, will face Chapman, also known as Hale Collins, at the Impact Wrestling World Tour at Mid-Hudson Civic Center, which starts at 7:30 p.m. The match will serve as a tryout with Total Nonstop Action, the company that puts on the tour and second biggest wrestling company in the United States. Their weekly television show runs on Spike TV and also worldwide.

“(Paul) was one of the only guys that gave us a lot of credit for getting people to the Northeast Wrestling show and getting people in the door,” Chapman said. “We do a lot of legwork, and it was cool that he took notice of our hard work and appreciated that.”

Begley has had televised and non-televised matches for WWE in the past, and he and his former tag team partner were in constant contact with TNA for years, trying to get a look from the company. Now, they’ve got it.

“If I’ve ever been on my game to go out and kick (butt), this is going to be it. I don’t think the things I did with WWE were my best shot. I am going to give it my best shot and if I have to walk away, I will walk away with no regrets.”
