Proving Ground Match Set For 11/5

“The Proving Ground”

This concept was first introduced in Louisville, KY when ROH World Tag Team Champions Charlie Haas & Shelton Benjamin took on Caprice Coleman & Cedric Alexander in a bout set to air on the 11/5 broadcast of “Ring of Honor Wrestling” on SBG networks nationwide.

The idea is simple: anytime an ROH champion wrestles a match where the title is not on the line, it will be contested under “The Proving Ground rules.  In “The Proving Ground”, if the challenger beats the champion in a non-title affair or lasts the time limit, he will get a shot at that championship within 60 days. All these matches will be one fall to a finish with the time limit set given the circumstances.

The next man to step foot into “The Proving Ground” on November 5th, when ROH hits The Davis Arena once more, will be “Unbreakable” Michael Elgin; and the challenge in front of him is none other than ROH World Champion Davey Richards.

“Davey Richards,” said Elgin “The House of Truth knows you better than you know yourself. We have seen inside your soul on numerous occasions and we know what you are capable of. Roderick has beaten you, I have seen your ferocity in tag team matches, but never have you stepped up to me one-on-one.  You have never seen what truly lies inside my soul.  The House of Truth opened that up in me and it’s a feeling you will never experience.  What you will experience though, is the end result of my personal transformation.  Ring of Honor can call this my proving ground, but what I will ultimately prove is that even a wolf can be broken.”

“The Proving Ground” goes down on 11/5/11 in Louisville, KY when ROH returns for another set of SBG TV Tapings. Will Michael Elgin earn himself a shot at the ROH World Title?  Get your tickets here (https://www.rohwrestling.com/product/louisville-ky-november-5th) to find out live!
