WWE House Show Results (6/25): Dallas, Texas

Alberto Del RioThanks to Ivan Barrera for sending this in:

I attended the live event in Dallas at the American Airlines Center on 06/25/11. Walking in, the arena was half full. Only the very top sections were tarped off. LOTS of red John Cena shirts and caps. It was insane.

First match was Chris Masters vs. Jack Swagger. Decent match with plenty of back and forth. Masters won with the Master Lock.

Second match was a 3-on-2 Diva’s Match. The Bellas and Maryse vs. Beth Phoenix and Eve Torres. Some of the diva’s did some very insinuative taunting (ass bouncing and spanking). Phoenix pinned Maryse after the Glam Slam.

The third match was a tag team title bout between Otunga/McGillicutty against Santino and Kozlov. Otunga pinned Marella after a spinebuster.

Segment with Dolph and Vickie. Funny Note: Some huge lady behind us stood up (I’ll include a picture if you’d like) and got mad at the fans for booing Vickie and told us to listen to what she had to say. Dolph said Kofi wouldn’t get his rematch if the fans didn’t shut up. They walked out.

CM Punk vs. Rey Mysterio. Punk cut a pretty great pre-match promo about how he hates Dallas, and mocked some "the stars at night" song. Good stuff. Mysterio came out, and Punk made a joke about how Dallas is losing its seats to Mexico. Match of the night in my opinion. Mysterio wins after a 619 and a springboard splash.

Segment: Dusty Rhodes and Kelly Kelly. They get two kids, some fat guy, and a hot girl to dance. One of the kids began to do the jerk and some weird rowboat move. The other kid just moved his hands. The lady sucked, was booed. The fat guy didn’t dance and got some really good heat. He also tried to get near Kelly Kelly. Creep

Segment: Miz talks about losing to Alex Riley at Capitol Punishment, and eventually Riley comes out to beat him up and chase him out.

Triple-Threat Match for the WWE United States Championship: Dolph Ziggler vs. Evan Bourne vs. Kofi Kingston. The match was not bad, but a bit long. Ziggler won when he rolled through a crossbody from Kingston.

Alberto Del Rio vs. The Big Show. Very short match. Del Rio tried to take Show off his feet, but lost after a chokeslam in minutes.

R-Truth comes out, cuts a promo. Cena comes out and is interrupted by the Raw GM. The GM says that due to The Mavs championship win, the fans deserve a street fight main event. Very good match, almost thought Truth had a chance. Cena wins after an Attitude Adjustment.

I thought it was an okay show, but the card could have been better. I didn’t get why the WWE still isn’t using McIntyre and Reks on Raw efficiently. I really hoped they would be there. Orton was advertised on the radio to be facing off with Christian, but neither guy every showed up.
