Update On New Jack/Stabbing Situation, Backstage Incident, More

– As previously reported, former ECW and TNA star New Jack was arrested in Jacksonville, Florida, after a Thunder Wrestling Federation show. The match was scheduled to be a weapons match, despite what the event’s promoter has previously said.

A fan had apparently somehow gotten backstage before the match, while New Jack was talking over his match with William Lane. So, since New Jack doesn’t think it’s good to talk about matches before they happen in front of fans, he said “kayfabe” to Lane, signaling to go their separate ways and stop all talk about the match, as if they were in character. New Jack walked away, however Lane followed him, not knowing what Jack meant by “kayfabe”.

Lane just had a blank look on his face when New Jack said “kayfabe”, not knowing that it meant to go into character. New Jack then said something to the effect of “you look like you know what you’re doing, we’ll just call it in the ring”.

During the match, New Jack pulled out a sickle and stabbed him 14 times. Lane had no idea it was coming, and was hospitalized.

New Jack is currently being held in the Jacksonville pre-trial detention facility, with bail at $40,003. He is being charged with aggravated assault.
