Police Nearly Called For TNA Disturbance, Major TNA Problems Backstage

Here is a funny newsbit. TNA Impact on Friday will feature a taped segment where Jeff Jarrett and Petey Williams attack Jeff Hardy at his hotel. The footage was shot at 3AM in the morning and was so loud that nearby guests almost called the police thinking it was a real beating.

There has been an eight-man tag team match was going to be added to the show, with Kid Kash, Dallas, & The Naturals (Chase Stevens & Andy Douglas) vs. Johnny B. Badd (Marc Mero), Erik Watts, Ron Killings & ‘The Empire Saint’ Pat Kenney.

Tuesday night’s TNA taping was said to have been half full at best, with fans being moved around during the show in order to keep the event looking full on camera. Once TNA finished the co-promotion with Russ Rollins’ radio show, the crowds dropped huge at Universal Studios and have never returned. The end of the summer hurt them as well and there are concerns about the attendance for this Sunday’s PPV internally.

At the TNA taping this past Tuesday, the wrestlers were said to be upset and are realizing that something drastic has to be done for the long-term good of the company and are possibly planning to confront management this weekend at the PPV. The workers are said to be unhappy with Dutch Mantel’s booking, feeling that the product has taken a hit, especially in the last several months. The wrestlers are pointing to the dwindling crowds at the Universal tapings as a sign that major changes need to be made in order for the company to survive. Several workers also feel that Mantel is preventing them from giving ideas to Jeff Jarrett, something that Jarrett allowed before Mantel took over more responsibilities. The feeling is that unless they push for things to happen themselves, nothing will and at best, the company will continue to flounder or at worst, lose Panda as a backer.
