— Right now there is a lot of confidence in Rey Mysterio as a centerpiece star on Smackdown as the year progresses. WWE management is happy with his reliability, professionalism, and of course the big pops he always gets. Right now his physical size is less of an issue than ever before, but to a point it will still hold him back.
When Guerrero realized that there weren’t any plans for him at WrestleMania 21, that’s when he and Mysterio started talking. They came up with the idea of teaming up for a while then breaking up, leading to a singles match at WrestleMania. Management liked the idea, and right now the plan is to have Rey Mysterio vs. Eddie Guerrero at WrestleMania.
