Backstage WWE News: Guerrero Turn?; Big Show; & More News

Eddie Guerrero is not expected to turn heel going into WrestleMania as originally planned. They are still going with Mysterio vs. Guerrero at ‘Mania with Chavo trying to break the two up in the coming weeks.

At last check, The Big Show-Akebono WrestleMania 21 match is not a done deal and the details are still being worked out. We know that Show was not happy with the plans thus talks are continuing. Also, Akebono is scheduled to compete in a kickboxing tournament on March 19th in South Korea. Its conceivable he could get injured in the competition. There is also talk of Akebono debuting in Japan for the new K-1 affiliated Big Mouth Promotions Wrestle-One show on April 23rd. K-1 may not want to give his pro wrestling debut to an outside company such as World Wrestling Entertainment.

WWE officials are claiming (although we have no details) the situation with Marvel Comics in regards to the name Hulk Hogan have been settled, which will allow Terry Bollea to enter the WWE hall of fame as Hulk Hogan. This settlement will also allow WWE to continue to use the name Hulk Hogan in future DVD releases and on the much anticipated 24/7 service.

It appears right now that WrestleMania will be a four hour PPV with Heat starting at 6EST and will be priced at $49.95.
