Mixed Backstage Notes: Diva Gone From TNA, Big Angle/Taker Feud?; Mania; more



– Desire is done with TNA. More on that later today.

– Wrestlemania tickets in the $750.00 range (Floor Seats) are still available via Ticketmaster.com.

– Kurt Angle has asked management to feud with the Undertaker once his feud with HBK is over.

– It was announced at last nights TNA PPV Destination X that there next PPV Lockdown on April 24th will feature two Six Sides of Steel matches. At this point one of them is scheduled to be a 4 on 4 War Games style match.

– AP ran an article this weekend regarding the WWE TV situation with Spike TV. An executive with Spike who spoke on condition of anonymity said that one of the reasons that the network dropped WWE was because “wrestling was never as popular with advertisers as it was with audiences.” The network executive also added that they are moving towards scripted programing rather than reality shows. No other statements were released from Spike, WWE or USA Network. Broadcasting & Cable in the meantime reports that McMahon is in deep negotiations with NBC Universal to use their TV stations and other businesses that fall under their corporation to increase WWE’s popularity.

– WWE added another show to their European tour at the Nottingham Arena in Nottingham, England on the 26th of April, their final stop before going back home. Tickets go on sale on the 26th of March at Bookingsdirect.com at 9AM. This European tour is filled with sold out shows which has to be great news for everyone at WWE.
