More Off-Air Backlash Notes: What You Didn’t See

Ryan Clark

Hey. Just got home from Backlash in Manchester. Here are a few off- camera news and notes…

-After the Kane/Viscera match, a guy on the floor section did a perfect imitation of Hulk Hogan, with the tearing of the shirt and flexing and all that. Pretty random and unexpected but still a good laugh.

-I believe the show went off the air right after Hunter pedigreed referee Mike Chioda. Some refs tried to help their fellow referee but Hunter kept scaring them off. After the refs eventually left ringside, Hunter kept walking around the ring, looking pissed off at the world. Before Hunter went backstage, he comes back to the ring and tells us that New Hampshire is a great place to live in, but it’s full of assholes. That got a pretty good pop from the crowd surprisingly. A slight “Na na na na goodbye” chant but didn’t pick up momentum that much.

-The crowd went all out with the “You screwed Matt” chants towards Lita and Edge. I guess this is another situation that the fans won’t let down anytime soon.

-Hogan got the loudest ovation of the night. Gee, what a shocker. Goosebumps up and down your body, so awesome. Hopefully this isn’t his last match like he says it is.
