The Latest On TNA Negotiations For A TV Deal

If TNA moves to WGN, it would likely occupy an 8-10PM eastern time slot on Monday nights. No deal has been reached at this point, but TNA’s current contract with Fox Sports Net expires with this week’s airings of “Impact” on Friday and Saturday. If TNA leaves FSN, the 5/31 TV taping would be cancelled, and the promotion would be without a television until they debuted on WGN. This is the reason they only taped two shows last week. Also, WGN is now viewable to many in the Northeast as well as other parts of the country.

TNA wants to sign a short term agreement to keep “Impact” on FSN, but the network doesn’t want any agreement less than six months in length.

TNA officials still have one final meeting with Spike TV, but a deal with the current home of “Raw” is considered a long shot at best.
