ECW PPV News: WWE Screw-Up, Shane Douglas, & More

— Despite originally pulling all advertising of WWE’s ECW PPV, Sky has begun airing the commercials this week. In the commercials, it has Paul Heyman saying “Live, Sunday, June 12, at 1:00 AM, only on Sky Sports 1.” The website for the PPV on WWE.com still has it listed as June 22 at midnight.

— The WWE/ECW PPV autograph session that takes place the afternoon of the show, head to head with the Ring Of Honor wrestling show, has nothing to do with Shane Douglas making at appearance at the ROH show. The decision for the autograph session was made before Douglas committed to the ROH show, although it was after WWE found out ROH was running a show down the street at the same time. — The official reasoning for the autograph session, is that the $400 seat tickets were not selling like they were hoping. So, they threw in the autograph session to help move tickets.
