Within the next month or so, a number of the lower card WWE wrestlers will be given their release notice. Management had discussed the issue at the Anaheim event last week at a backstage meeting.
Many of the wrestlers are prepared in the event that they do end up being let go.
The releases may have a lot to do with the fact that WWE has several young, up and coming wrestlers who are ready to make the jump from OVW or to OVW from the independents.
One such person is CM Punk who is currently finishing out his independent dates and will then report to Ohio Valley Wrestling.
