New Matches & Debutants For IPW:UK Next Weekend

PRESS RELEASE

FOR IMMEDIATE DISTRIBUTION

  • Harry Smith’s Public Appearances

» Making his UK in-ring debut on July 16th and 17th, Harry ‘Bulldog’ Smith, the son of the late great Davey Boy Smith – the British Bulldog – is also scheduled for two public appearances.

The first being a training session at FWA:SL in Croydon. Running from 6pm-9pm on Friday July 15th (with doors opening at 4pm), this will be your only opportunity to be trained and work alongside the son of one of the UK’s finest exports, the British Bulldog. Harry, now a star in his own right, is fresh off of working WWE TV tapings and two tours of Japan, will be taking the session. More information, including directions and how to attend this session and others, check out FWA South London’s website at http://www.fwa-southlondon.com or email Sylvano on fwasl2005@hotmail.co.uk.

The second is a local autograph signing at popular computer game store CHIPS, at 152 Orpington High Street (contact number 01689 835999) on Saturday July 16th from 12-midday until 2pm. This will be your first opportunity to beat the rush and get your picture with Harry Smith, ask any questions and get his autograph. Also with him will be tag partner for the weekend, Andy Boy Simmonz!

Tickets to this spectacular double head “Weekend of Champions” are now on sale by either calling the Kent box office on 07780 677007, or heading over to www.ipwuk.com and clicking on “Tickets”.

  • PJ Black & Ian Logan To Make IPW:UK Debut

» Chiselled grappler PJ Black, and mammoth brawler Ian Logan will face off against each other in both of their IPW:UK debuts on Sunday’s convention card. The card, which runs with one match per hour from 12-midday until 3pm (with all the matches having 20 minute time limits) is part of the spectacular UK Fan Convention. Entry to this amazing convention is only £2 – with food and drink, stand up comedy from John Atkins, exclusive merchandise and an amazing Xbox computer game competition all on hand.

Not only that, but if demand is there, fans will be given the opportunity to ask Harry ‘Bulldog’ Smith questions in a public Question & Answer session. Tickets are only available on the door, and admission is limited due to the amount of activities that will be taking place. Also upon request on the IPW forums, we can give you directions to local attractions such as eateries, public houses, arcades and much more!

  • #1 & #2 Entrants Announced!

» For those men not lucky enough to be battling out for the IPW:UK Title on July 16, there’s one place they want to be – in the Battle Rumble for #1 contendership!

Since Aviv Maayan announced that IPW matchmakers had signed a match to test any roster member who wanted to be put through his paces, back weeks ago, 19 other men have signed up to be a part of the match. From those who are yet to debut in singles competition (Battalion, Smokey, Bandit), to those who are yet to debut at all (Justin Richards & Chasyn Rance), the twenty spaces filled up quicker than anybody could have imagined – with the last slot being allocated with over 2 weeks to go until the event!

With the importance of scouting your opponent in mind, IPW have therefore selected over this past 24 hours from a random draw, the first two entrants to the Battle Rumble. These two men were drawn, as:

    1). SPUD

2). ‘THE HUMAN HATE MACHINE’ DAVE MORALEZ

If this match wasn’t big enough already, then the addition of these two men as the opening two entrants certainly sealed it. It is imaginable that both men, while obviously frustrated to have been drawn so early to enter, will be pleased that they receive the chance to get their hands on each other after Morales made his re-debut at Best of British 2, costing him his anticipated grudge match against Jack Storm, and aligning himself with Team Charming.

» Speaking of teams, IPW:UK management have banned ANYBODY except for appointed IPW officials from being ringside during this match. Any manager’s licences will hold no clout for this match. New superstars will enter every 30 seconds, until all 20 men have been and gone, and only one remains standing. That man will then become the IPW:UK Title’s #1 contender, redeemable any time net-60 days; meaning, at any IPW:UK show in the 60 days July 16th onwards.

  • Now Introducing Harry ‘Bulldog’ Smith & Andy Boy Simmonz aka… British Beef!

» And finally, we want to quickly say well done to the fan that suggested the team name BRITISH BEEF. After long deliberation, Andy Boy Simmonz decided it to be the best name, and has adopted it for the Weekend of Champions with Harry Smith.

Tickets to this spectacular double head “Weekend of Champions” are now on sale by either calling the Kent box office on 07780 677007, or heading over to www.ipwuk.com and clicking on “Tickets”.
