  • Andy Boy Simmonz vs. James Tighe – Contenders Match!

» That’s right, after missing the cut for the Extreme Measures tournament, these two men return on September 25th to do battle in an attempt to fly up the proverbial ladder that is the IPW:UK title rankings. Currently un-listed, but coming off of the back of a huge win against Chasyn Rance (which was given even more credence after Rance single-handedly defeated both members of the Kartel in singles action at New Territory), James Tighe is looking to avenge the pinfall loss he suffered to Andy Boy at Best of British, as Simmonz knocked him out of the Best of British: Heavyweights with his trademark Running Powerslam. In addition, a victory here would surely see Tighe move into the top 5 title contenders.

Simmonz, on the other hand, needs this victory to convince IPW:UK officials that he should be higher in the rankings list than Americans Samoa Joe and Super Dragon. While highly unlikely the Hull native will leapfrog both men in one swoop, assuming Samoa Joe doesn’t make a surprise appearance (and he is scheduled to wrestle the night previous in America, making it almost impossible), a victory here would surely see Simmonz become the #2 contender to the IPW:UK title.

  • Barred From Ringside!!

» It’s been announced today that anybody that isn’t involved in the TLC Tag Match for the IPW:UK titles at the One Year Anniversary show will be barred from accompanying their men to ringside.

This has been done for two reasons – personal safety, and in-ring fairness. The more cluttered ringside gets, the more likely for serious injury to a competitor and IPW:UK values the health of fans and wrestlers to the utmost. In addition, the more people at ringside, the harder it is for fans to see all the amazing action taking place!

Secondly, it has been witnessed in the past that The Chav Army like to play the numbers game. With all other teams seemingly content to work in a 2-man tandem, this advantage has been removed once again by IPW:UK management to level off the playing field. The only things accompanying teams to the ring in this match will be… TABLES… LADDERS… AND CHAIRS!

  • Therefore the current card for September 25th stands as:

    Tables… Ladders… Chairs!
