CM Punk’s Busted Nose, WWE-UFC War Update

– Sources within Spike TV are justifying the lack of hype for the UFC special by citing research that states the average “viewer retention” for a live event is ten days. Now that the special is only a week away, however, Spike will be advertising the card during tonight’s edition of RAW. It should be noted that Spike TV did not follow this strategy for the first “Ultimate Fight Night” and began its marketing campaign far more than ten days prior to the event.

– In his LiveJournal (livejournal.com/users/cmpunk), CM Punk confirmed that he is cleared to return at the next Ohio Valley Wrestling taping. Says the wrestler, “I’m medically cleared as of Wednesday to get back in the ring, after everybody made a pretty big deal out of what in my opinion was nothing. simply another broken nose, first time bone has actually stuck out though, that was interesting.” He also posted a very graphic photo of his broken nose.
