After many weeks of hype, Ring Of Honor finally revealed Jim Cornette as its “authority figure” at the 10/2 show in Philadelphia. Names from Percy Pringle (who appeared at the show) to Lance Storm to Earl Hebner were thrown around as possibilities, but it was the former OVW booker who scored the gig.
The show was headlined by Kenta Kobashi’s second appearance for the promotion. After defeating Samoa Joe in a match many are calling one of the best in ROH history at the 10/1 show, Kobashi teamed with Homicide to defeat Joe and Low-Ki in Philadelphia.
Following up on her tease at the 10/1 show, Lacey revealed BJ Whitmer and Jimmy Jacobs as her new “Angels.” The show also saw James Gibson’s farewell match against Roderick Strong and Christopher Daniels defeat Jimmy Yang.
