There is a new story circulating about The Rock’s next two films both being focused around football themes, playing up the idea that he’s “returning to his roots.” I thought that was interesting, considering his rise to fame was as a WWE performer, but he’s distanced himself from that over the last several years.
The first season of The Super Mario Bros. Super Show children’s show, which featured WWE Hall of Famer Captain Lou Albano as Mario, will be released on DVD on 3/28. The 4 disc set will feature a new interview with Albano as well as all 24 episodes, including cameos from Cyndi Lauper and Sgt. Slaughter.
