Vampiro, Matt Sydal and Delirious To England March 19th

PRESS RELEASE

FOR IMMEDIATE DISTRIBUTION

  • Jonny vs. Jody – For The First Time In IPW:UK Ever!

» That’s right folks, for the first time ever in IPW:UK, on March 19th from the Orpington Halls, fans will be able to witness ‘The Wonderkid’ Jonny Storm and ‘The Phoenix’ Jody Fleisch. These two men have quite literally battled around the world, from England to America to Japan and back, and on March 19th it comes to the UK.

These great exhibition matches have produced some of the finest reviews on the planet, but from CZW to the FWA, never has there been a time with so much hate behind it as there is now. Ever the professional, Jody Fleisch has waited and waited and waited for his chance to legally beat up Jonny Storm as much as he wishes. On March 19th, IPW:UK are granting him that chance.

  • Chav Ar-my… WHAT?!?!

» If before Saturday lunchtime, you had told Battalion that not only would be win his match with Stevie Lynn by forfeit, but also be jumped by a gang of Chavs almost 10 strong, he’d probably have stared at you in disbelief, but it’s what happened.

Lynn, still not 100% from a recent injury, agreed with IPW:UK that he should take a booking closer to home, tagging with partner Ice 17, due to pain from a injury suffered a few weeks ago. Not wanting to be the ones who forced him to wrestle and then suffer a much greater injury, this meant that Battalion was left without an opponent. With only 24 hours to find two replacements (one for Lynn, and one for Leroy Kincaide later in the show), only one could be found, and he was inserted into the scheduled three-way. Battalion had won. Via forfeit.

Unhappy with this decision, and assumedly the decision to have him travel from East Ham to Orpington, only to have his hand raised and he be turned around again, Battalion attacked referee Chris Hatch to the crowd’s delight, before being jumped by a group of Chavs, including former running buddy in the Chav Army, Bandit.

But where was Nixon? The Chavette? Smokey? Lil G? All the other members of the Army? No message was passed from any of the former gang, except one – Flaming Red. This attack, it was a message, a physical one, topped off with the shredding of Battalion’s towel – his symbol, the icon that bore as much a part of his match day rituals as his array of suplexes and submissions.

Now, Battalion is on a one-man mission against his former gang. With more and more Chavs emerging from our ears, can Battalion put the beast to rest come March 19th? Will the old gang be there, Flaming Red appear, whom will Battalion fight? Everybody, that’s your answer.

  • Brits Shine On The American Stage!

» This past Sunday night, Martin Stone, Jonny Storm, Jody Fleisch, Andy Boy Simmonz, Aviv Maayan and Spud all shone under the bright lights of the Orpington Halls for American promotion Pro Wrestling Guerrilla, alongside referee Andy Quildan, as a five star show was produced for the sell-out crowd.

Storm and Stone both picked up victories over Ricky Reyes and Joey Ryan (PWG champion) respectively, while Spud and Maayan (alongside Topgun Talwar) lost out in a 6-man, and Andy Boy Simmonz was defeated by former WWE star Frankie Kazarian. We thank PWG for coming to Orpington, and hope the fans all had the fun-tastic experience we promised.
