TNA News: More House Show Matches, Big Samoa Joe News

More matches have been confirmed for TNA’s upcoming House Show in Wayne, New Jersey on June 10. Here is a list of what is confirmed so far: Monster’s Ball Match – Abyss vs. Rhino vs. Samoa Joe, NWA World Tag Team Championship Match – America’s Most Wanted (c’s) vs. AJ Styles & Christopher Daniels, and Team 3D vs. The James Gang.

TNA X Division Champion Samoa Joe will be undergoing physical therapy for at least the next three months on his knee and has already started the process with famous sports therapist Tommy Chao in California. Joe, who has been able to put some weight back on his leg after it locked up at the TNA iMPACT! tapings this past Monday night in Orlando, is expected to take time off from his independent and international bookings in order to rest his knee, but isn’t expected to miss any ring time with TNA. Adz sent us word that 1PW has already confirmed Joe pulling out of the 1PW Know Your Enemy event next weekend. In getting into details about Joe’s injury, the major injury was to Joe’s posterior cruciate ligament (PCL), which suffered a very serious tear. For those unaware, the PCL prevents the tibia (shinbone) from sliding too far backwards in order to protect the knee from bending in the wrong direction. The tear caused Joe’s knee to buckle, which resulted in some severe swelling and pain. If everything goes well with physical therapy, Joe could avoid surgery at this time if healing of the ligament tears goes well. Although, some feel Joe will still have to get surgery down the line. As reported earlier by TNAWrestlingNews.com, Joe suffered the injury many weeks ago while working for Ring of Honor in Cleveland, OH. Since the injury took place, Joe had been resting his knee to insure that he could still put on the usual fast paced performance at the TNA Sacrifice PPV this past Sunday when he teamed with Sting against Jeff Jarrett and Scott Steiner. Joe’s apppearances for Ring of Honor were set up around protecting his knee. However, after five straight nights of working on it, it finally gave away during a match against David Young taped for Xplosion.

Ross Forman has a new “This Week in TNA Sports” up with Team Canada’s Scott D’Amore up on TNA’s website. Forman also has a “This Week in TNA Sports” up with Jeff Jarrett as well.
