his is probably moot point now because she looks to be in line for a push, but a few weeks ago, Victoria asked for some time off because she was exhausted from the travel, and the belief among her colleagues was that her push went down after that. One veteran talent said, “They say it’s okay to ask for time off if you need it, but they look down on you for it and it costs you.”

Here is the current set-up of the WWE Creative Team: RAW is written by Brian Gewirtz and Ed Koskey, ECW by Paul Heyman and Dave Lagana, and SmackDown by Michael Hayes and Dusty Rhodes (with Rhodes being the least involved of the secondary bookers on the staff). And of course, Vince & Stephanie McMahon supervise everything. One source is saying that Rhodes would probably prefer to be working in the developmental system where he could be a “big fish in a smaller sea.”

The 1/7 New Year’s Revolution PPV will feature a title match between John Cena & Umaga and there will probably be some sort of gimmick match between DX and Rated RKO.

Sports Illustrated has honored Vince McMahon on its My Sportsman Web site for WWE’s Tribute to the Troops.
