What You Didn’t See At WrestleMania 23 Last Night

Thanks to Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com for the following:

There was a small “Cena sucks” chant before the show.

All of the brand ring announcers came out.

They aired a music video on WWE’s popularity worldwide putting over what looks to be a new company slogan, “WWE is Pop Culture”. It was the same video shown to the company’s stockholders at the annual meeting recently.

They introduced the announcers next. Joey Styles jumped up and down as he walked to the ramp. There was polite applause for everyone until Jim Ross came out. Ross got a huge standing ovation. Jerry Lawler followed, receiving another nice response.

In a dark match Ric Flair & Carlito defeated Gregory Helms and WWE Cruiserweight champ Chavo Guerrero. The lumberjacks were everyone from all three brands not booked, even Vito. They had to have cracked a lumberjack record. Chavo was dropkicked the apron by Carlito, caught by Snitsky and pressed and slammed into the ring. Carlito pinned Helms. Nothing of note.
