New TNA Championship Belts Unveiled At iMPACT! Tapings

Mike Shalik

Total Nonstop Action Wrestling and the National Wrestling Alliance have parted ways. As a result, TNA will no longer be using the NWA World Heavyweight title or the NWA World Tag Team titles. The company has created new belts for the TNA World Heavyweight title, TNA World Tag Team titles and the TNA X-Division title.

Bill Banks, a writer for the official website of TNA Wrestling, has posted an article stating that the new championshp belts will be unveiled later this week at during their “TNA Live” online video show.

The newly redesigned belts were used at this week’s TNA iMPACT! tapings. The new TNA World Heavyweight title looks very similar to the old WWE World Title back in 2003, worn by Brock Lesnar, Kurt Angle, JBL and Eddie Guererro. The new TNA World Tag Titles look very similar to the WWE RAW brand’s tag titles. The newly redesigned X-Division title looks much better than the old one (no more big red “X”).
