Vince McMahon had huge expectations for the dropped “Mr. McMahon” death angle. The original plan for the Mr. McMahon “death” angle was to have Vince return as a character in two years. As previously reported, this idea was changed several times as the current plan was for Vince to return this summer saying he faked his “death.”
The advance for the current Mexican tour hasnât been particularly strong, especially for the Mexicali and Tijuana house shows. At last word, WWE had sold less than 1,000 tickets for the Mexicali show.
Rey Mysterio Jr. returns to action during the current Mexican tour. He returns to help sell tickets, and to do a dry run to see if he is ready for a full-time return.
Dr. Lucha Steve Sims reports that WWE has explored the possibility of purchasing the AAA promotion.
Misticoâs CMLL contract expired on 6/30. He is currently working on a night to night agreement, but it is believed Mistico is negotiating a new deal with Paco Alonso. Mistico had a WWE try out earlier this year.
