More Wrestlers Named In Steroid Probe, Vince/Benoit

As noted just moments ago, the federal government raided the office of Dr. Phil Astin for a third time. WAGA-TV in Atlanta has just reported that federal investigators have seized all medical records of Dr. Phil Astin and patients Larry Pfolhl (Lex Luger), Marcus Bagwell, Mark Jindrak, Bob Howard (Bob Holly), Chris Benoit, Nancy Benoit, Mike Durham (Johnny Grunge) and Oscar Gutierrez (Rey Mysterio). M.J. and O.G., the two wrestlers involved in the indictment of overprescribing pain killers were, as speculated, Mark Jindrak and Gutierrez. Lex Luger has been on various newscasts as of late talking about the scandal. That can’t make him look very good if this proves to be true.

According to one source, Vince McMahon was apparently convinced there was something to the Wikipedia story. 14 hours before Nancy Benoit’s body was discovered, an anonymous person edited Chris Benoit’s Wikipedia profile to note that he missed the Vengeance pay-per-view because his wife had died. Investigators, after confiscating the user’s computer and doing a full investigation, came to the conclusion that there was nothing to it other than a massive coincidence. They also decided against releasing the name of the University of Connecticut student who had made the original posting. His IP address was 69.120.111.23, which did not actually point to Titan Towers. Anyway, McMahon didn’t believe that there was inside knowledge to the situation, but he believed that it had come from Titan Towers on Sunday night, perhaps someone on the staff wanting to do a rib on the ECW guys.

Bruno Sammartino, Superstar Billy Graham and his wife Valerie are scheduled to appear on MSNBC’s Scarborough Country tonight and tomorrow night at 9:00 PM ET. Graham, Sammartino and Marc Mero appeared on the show last night.
