After the Benoit tragedy, Vince McMahon suggested they bring in a new face, thus the call up of Cody Runnels. The word is that Runnels got the promotion because nobody else in developmental was ready.
The 8/4 FCW event, located at 3853 Cleveland Avenue, Ft. Myers, FL, will feature Carlito participating.
There was/is talk of Mark Malaria, a member of the creative staff, working as a backstage interviewer on the ECW television show.
As you might imagine, Vince McMahon has been furious with the recent RAW cable television ratings. Apparently McMahon doesn’t blame the ratings on the Benoit tragedy, but focused his frustration with the creative team, but Stephanie defused the situation.
