WWE Suspends 11th Wrestler: 1 Star Gets Double Suspension

The Saturday edition of New York Newsday newspaper has quotes from WWE lawyer Jerry McDevitt regarding ANOTHER WWE superstar who has been suspended by the company. The 11th suspension is also in connection to a corrupt Internet pharmacy. Signature Pharmacy is under federal investigation for distributing growth enhancement and pain relief drugs without legitimate prescriptions. McDevitt said that of the 11 wrestlers suspended, 10 will be out for 30 days while one wrestler is a 2-time Wellness Policy offender and will be suspended for 60 days.

Sources are saying that at least one wrestler named in the media stories as turning up in the Internet pharmacy client list will not be suspended by WWE. That should show that everyone named by the media is innocent until proven guilty. Granted, most of them probably are guilty, but every single wrestler listed isn’t. Thus far, fourteen people under contract to WWE have been named in the media — an additional one was fired yesterday in Mike “Simon Dean” Bucci. According to WWE attorney Jerry McDevitt, eleven wrestlers in all have been suspended by WWE.

If you look at the front page of WWE.com, there are absolutely no feature stories on any of the wrestlers named in connection to the corrupt Signature Pharmacy firm. The only front page stories on WWE.com are on Hacksaw Jim Duggan, the 2007 Diva Search, Taker’s return at Unforgiven, Matt Hardy & MVP, Great Khali & Rey, and a few other random things not involving outed talent. It may be a mere coincidence, but it’s definitely worth thinking about.
