Steve Austin rubbed a lot of people in the WWE locker room the wrong way with a speech that he gave a couple of weeks ago at the SummerSlam pay-per-view. Austin told the talent that they dressed like slobs in public and needed to look more professional to better reflect the company. He also said that there were no superstars in WWE and that it was time for someone to step up and become a big draw. According to one source, he then launched into the story of how he came up with his own gimmick to become a top guy in WWE.

One superstar said that Austin was out of touch with what current wrestlers are getting paid and how different the conditions are from when he was in his prime. Others said that Austin has became a puppet for Vince McMahon and say that heâ<80><99>s just acting the way he is because he feels guilty for The Condemnedâ<80><99>s failure at the box office.
