Orton vs. Jericho At No Mercy?, SD!, & More News

Ryan Clark

Smackdown did a 2.5 rating last night, based on the Fast National Numbers.

According to sources, Randy Orton vs. Chris Jericho is in play as a possibility for the WWE title match for Sunday Night’s main event at the No Mercy PPV in Chicago, IL. This does NOT mean it’s confirmed but it’s been talked about.

Several of SmackDownâ<80><99>s Superstars may not find much clemency in the squared circle even after No Mercy. The WWE Tag Team Champions, United States Champion MVP & Matt Hardy, were successful in retaining their shared gold against Deuce and Domino last Friday. Next week, however, the two will have to step up their game even more; SmackDownâ<80><99>s Acting General Manager, Vickie Guerrero, has decided to put the diametric duo against none other than Undertaker & Kane. Can SmackDownâ<80><99>s â<80><9c>odd coupleâ<80> pick up the pace and roll to a win against the re-teamed Brothers of Destruction? Or will this be the match that has everyone wondering if MVP and Mattâ<80><99>s dislike for one another can ever â<80><9c>rest in peaceâ<80>?
