Major Fight At WrestleFanFest, Lesnar’s First UFC Fight

As noted earlier this afternoon, the WrestleFanFest convention in San Francisco at the Cow Palace this weekend has been an absolute mess. Many wrestlers involved with the convention had their checks bounce with the exception of some big names and TNA stars that were paid in advance. Others involved weren’t even paid and the promoters of the show were spotted leaving their hotel this morning at around 5:45 a.m. according to sources. The Ring of Honor event that was scheduled to take place at 4:00 p.m. Pacific today was said to still be a go as ROH staff is at the venue. Don Frye also got into at least two altercations, with one that involved the bodyguard for Leland Chapman (the son of Dog The Bounty Hunter). Steve Austin, Joanie “Chyna” Laurer, Cryme Tyme and Vince Russo are all at the show with most being described as looking “lost” among the fans that are in attendance.

Former WWE Champion Brock Lesnar, who just signed a two-year contract with the UFC, is looking to make his debut for the company on February 2 (during Super Bowl weekend). As reported earlier, Lesnar’s signing with UFC was officially confirmed last night at UFC 77: Hostile Territory in Cincinnati, Ohio.
