— WWE announced this afternoon that they have released developmental talent Russell Simpson. Simpson was signed out of Booker T’s PWA promotion and he has been working with Ohio Valley Wrestling.
— Today’s Miami Herald has an interview with Shawn Michaels. While he admits that he enjoys Degeneration X, he says that Hunter (Triple H) is ready to move on. Michaels said, âI’m fine with whatever because for me it’s always a creative issue — as long as it’s stuff that is amusing and funny. Doing the DX thing, I have to poke fun at my age and things like that because I would insult anybody thinking I’m kind of a hip rebel back when I was 30.”
