The original script for Raw centered on Hart appearing as a surprise.
WWE and Bret Hart has ceased negotiations for the U.S. books rights for his autobiography. Hart had a verbal agreement that not one word in the book would be changed, but when he was given a contract to sign, WWE wanted full final say-so regarding the contents, reports the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. Hart was told that 400 of the book’s 533 pages would need to be changed. Despite the book dealing falling through, the sides continue to talk regarding a future DVD release.
On a side note, it is said that Vince McMahon has been obsessed with getting Hart to return to WWE television for an angle ever since the sides agreed to do the first Hart DVD.
