Ric Flair Retirement Angle Plans, Backlash, Rumble, More

Ryan Clark

The plan right now is for the Ric Flair retirement angle to continue on television during the road to WrestleMania as he is not scheduled to work any house shows. This could always change, however, is what WWE is going off of right now.

WWE has announced that tickets for their Backlash pay-per-view will go on sale February 16, 2008. Backlash will be held at the 1st Mariner Arena in Baltimore, Maryland on April 27th.

Michael Weaver, Jr. of wrestlingupdateonline.com sent this in: It was announced at the 12-29 WWE house show in Baltimore, Maryland that tickets for WWE Backlash go on sale on February 16, 2008. WWE Backlash will air live from 1st Mariner Arena in Baltimore, Maryland.

Some searches for tickets for the Royal Rumble PPV are now coming up again over on Ticketmaster.com. The show sold out in a matter of hours yesterday morning. A few seats opening up are likely due to credit card declines or something else.

Adam Lebow of www.thershl.com sent this in: During the Pacific Prime edition of TSN Sportscenter (which replays as the morning edition), co-host Jay Onrait was introducing the Sportscenter Top 10, which was themed around a team or player being ‘perfect’. In his introduction of the Top 10, which showed perfect playoff runs and perfect pitched games, Onrait stated that (paraphrahed) “the Top 10 will not include professional wrestler Curt Hennig who wrestled as Mr. Perfect but does include a football team that was perfect.”
