WWE Signs JR To A New Contract, Former WCW Ref, Batista

— WWE has officially signed Jim Ross to a new two-year contract. Below is the announcement from his official website:

A new, two year contract has been signed between Jim Ross and World Wrestling Entertainment. Ross, a 34 year veteran of pro wrestling/sports entertainment, is a member of the WWE Hall of Fame and has been with the company since debuting at Wrestlemania 9 in 1993. Ross and his fellow WWE Hall of Fame partner, Jerry âthe King❠Lawler, comprise the broadcast team on the WWEâs longest running, flagship broadcast, âMonday Night Raw❠which airs live on the USA Cable Network every Monday night at 9/8 central time and globally in over 100 countries. No other details on the terms of the contract have been released.

–Former WCW referee Jamie Turner has been spotted working in WWE developmental. No word yet if he has signed a contract or was just doing a tryout.

— The 18-year old kid who is being accused of impersonating a police officer, while trying to get an autograph from Batista is now being identified as Jesse Johnson. According to an article in The Akron Beacon Journal out of Ohio this isnât the boyâs first offense impersonating an officer. Johnson has already served a 179 day jail sentence for a previous offense. The sentence also included an agreement that he would stay out of trouble for at least two years.
