Former WWE Star Gets Married, More On J.R/WWE, Flair

The following statement was issued on jrsbarbq.com: “A new, two year contract has been signed between Jim Ross and World Wrestling Entertainment. Ross, a 34 year veteran of pro wrestling/sports entertainment, is a member of the WWE Hall of Fame and has been with the company since debuting at Wrestlemania 9 in 1993. Ross and his fellow WWE Hall of Fame partner, Jerry âthe King❠Lawler, comprise the broadcast team on the WWEâs longest running, flagship broadcast, âMonday Night Raw❠which airs live on the USA Cable Network every Monday night at 9/8 central time and globally in over 100 countries. No other details on the terms of the contract have been released.”

Also, congrats go to former WWE superstar Jacques Rougeau Jr. (The Mountie), 47, who was married in the ring on 12/29 at an independent show in Verdun, Quebec. Rougeau married his long time girlfriend Nancy Menard. Afterwards, Rougeau wrestled in the main event. The show drew 2,200 fans (more than doubled the attendance at the recent TNA house show).

WWE.com has an article up at WWE.com looking at the company going HD starting at the beginning of this week.

Paul sent this in: I was watching MSNBC around 2am and they were talking about Mike Huckabee and his political campaign, they mentioned that he drew a big crowd (I didn’t get the city he was in) but they said the crowd might have been big because of Chuck Norris and Ric Flair being there.
