WWE.com Website Hits Down, ‘Industry News’, Rumble Buyrate

According to WWE’s latest performance report on their corporate website, preliminary estimates for ’08 Royal Rumble have the show doing 534,000 pay-per-view buys. This figure is up from last year’s number (508,000 buys), although a bit below 2006’s number, which drew around 575,000 buys.

According to the latest corporate report, WWE.com’s web traffic is on a downward trend. The number of monthly page views on WWE.com is also on a downward trend. Q2 in 2007 drew 563 million page views, Q3 drew 440 million, Q4 drew 401 million, and Q1 through January 31, 2008 drew 389 million. Reportedly, WWE.com launched the “Industry News” section due to declining web traffic.
