Wrestlers Comment On Flair, Wrestlemania & More

Thanks to reader Devin Cutting:

During the March 30th edition of the WWE Experience on The Score, several WWE superstars did interviews (taped earlier in the week) about Orlando, WrestleMania and Ric Flair. Below are recaps of their comments.

Hillbilly Jim on Orlando and the festivities:

“The city of Orlando has welcomed us. We’ve had so much fun here. I’ve just enjoyed myself so much. They’ve opened up their arms for us and we’re having a great time. This week in Orlando, we’ve got so many things going on. We’ve got the Hall Of Fame induction ceremony and all the other things going on. Special events all over the place and the fans just come out and have a great, great time.”

Chris Jericho on Ric Flair:

“I don’t think you’ll ever see another performer who has the influence and the impact in so many different ways and at the highest level for so long.”

Edge on Ric Flair:

“It’s really tough to try and explain to someone what he means to our industry. Whether you want to draw the analogies of…he’s Lou Gehrig or like a Cal Ripken. I can’t wait to hear the crowd reaction both nights (Hall Of Fame and WrestleMania). It’s gonna be insane.”

The Edgeheads on Ric Flair:

“He’s had a legendary career. A career that people only dream of. If we could be half the wrestlers one day that Ric Flair is, we would’ve done great.”

Linda McMahon on Ric Flair:

“He’s meant so much. He is quite a character…with his robes and his ‘Wooooo’ and all of the things that Ric Flair does.”

Chris Jericho on the Money In The Bank match at WrestleMania 24:

“It’s not if I win, it’s when I win. My intention is to do what I do everytime and go out there with the intent of stealing the show.”

The Edgeheads on the World Title match at WrestleMania 24:

“We’re Edge’s boys, so we gotta make sure he keeps that championship, so we’ll do whatever is necessary. You might see us. The Rated-R Superstar is the ultimate opportunist and he’s always got something up his sleeve. Lately, it’s been Hawkins and Ryder, but at WrestleMania, our lips are sealed until then.”
